According to police, the Rancho Cordova auto accident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Sunrise Boulevard south of Kiefer Boulevard. The collision involved two full-sized Ford pickup trucks, one red and one white. Witnesses stated that the white truck was traveling southbound on Sunrise Boulevard when it suddenly crossed over the center line. It collided violently with the red truck. The driver of the white truck was killed in the accident and two people – the driver and the passenger – in the red truck suffered serious injuries. No identities have been released at this point pending notification of their families.
