People use public transportation such as bus lines for many different reasons, and one of them is to avoid the responsibility and risks that come with driving, especially late at night and early in the morning. However, using such an approach does not guarantee safety. Tragically, six people paid the ultimate price for a fatal Fresno Greyhound bus accident that occurred early this morning. 34 people were also injured in the crash.
According to police, this fatal Fresno Greyhound bus accident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. when a Greyhound bus was moving in a northbound direction on California Highway 99 near McKinley Avenue in Fresno. An SUV was overturned in the fast lane of the highway, and the bus slammed into it. It’s possible that the bus then struck a second vehicle before falling down an embankment and finally coming to rest after crashing into a large tree. In all, six people were killed and 34 people were injured, four of whom were injured critically.
