A student of Beitzel Elementary School suffered major injuries on Thursday afternoon while he was run over by a FedEx truck as he was leaving the school.

The truck was in the front of Beitzel Elementary School at around 1:30 keeping the crosswalk blocked.  While the delivery truck  turned left onto westbound Chantal Way,  the 10-year-boy ran onto the crosswalk. He ran directly into the truck and additionally ended up being pulled to the ground, after that was run over by the vehicles back wheels.

One man died and eight other people were injured in a Napa crash on Monday morning.  A multi-vehicle car accident, involving four cars including a big ring, occurred on State Route 12, west of the Napa-Solano County line. Four people were injured Sunday when a small plane performed a crash landing on a Highway 29 near the Napa County Airport and hit a car from behind.  The single engine Beech aircraft was forced to make an emergency “gear up” landing on Highway 29 at 12:37 p.m. after it lost power.  The plane skidded onto the highway and struck the car from behind. Three people, including a 3 year old child, died in a horrific Woodland accident that sent 5 cars up in flames following a chain reaction collision on southbound Interstate 5 near Woodland on Monday. Seven other people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Kirstin Aksnes, from Fairfield died in a car accident that happened on Highway 12 just east of the Sacramento County Line on Wednesday.  She was travelling on eastbound Highway 12 at about 5:25 a.m. when for an unknown reason, her 2001 Volkswagen drifted to the left and into the westbound lanes near the Brannan Island Road intersection, where it collided with a big rig driven by a 45-year-old Huron man. One person died and two were seriously injured in a hit and run Richmond accident at around 5 a.m. on Sunday morning. Three people were killed and one person was seriously injured in a one vehicle Sacramento car accident that occurred Friday morning at the intersection of Sloughhouse Road and Jackson Highway.  According to initial reports, Stephen G. Johnson, the driver of a 2001 Mazda Millennia traveling north on Sloughhouse Road, failed to stop at the intersection with Jackson Highway and crashed into a field.  Mr. Johnson and two passengers, Maurice M. Waters II, 20, and Christian T. Bishop, 18, were ejected from the car and died at the scene.  A third passenger, 24-year-a old Kevin Wardley, of Lincoln, was taken to the U.C. Davis Medical Center in critical condition.  The details of this fatal California accident are still under investigation.

Thirteen people suffered major injuries in a Vacaville bus accident on Monday.  The crashed happen shortly before 4:30 on Lyon Road, south of Cherry Glen Road near Interstate 80. The driver of an SUV sustained serious injuries Sunday evening when a green Ford Escort veered directly into his part while he was traveling eastbound on West Manning Avenue west of South Lassen Avenue.  The driver of the SUV veered off the road to avoid a collision with the Escort and his vehicle overturned, ejecting him in the process.  The California Highway Patrol reports that he not wearing a safety belt.   He was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.
