One person died and two were seriously injured in a hit and run Richmond accident at around 5 a.m. on Sunday morning. The driver of an SUV sustained serious injuries Sunday evening when a green Ford Escort veered directly into his part while he was traveling eastbound on West Manning Avenue west of South Lassen Avenue.  The driver of the SUV veered off the road to avoid a collision with the Escort and his vehicle overturned, ejecting him in the process.  The California Highway Patrol reports that he not wearing a safety belt.   He was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Sacramento accident on Monday evening. A 55-year-old Vanessa Gail Hall-Macon, died in a hit and run Sacramento accident on Saturday evening. 53-year-old woman from Woodland was seriously injured in a hit-and run accident on Monday. The accident happened at 8:27 a.m. at the intersection of West Beamer and California street in Woodland. The woman was struck by a car while she was crossing the intersection. A 27-year old man from Sacramento died after his bicycle was struck by a car on Wednesday in Modesto. The deadly Modesto car accident happened at 7:15 p.m. on Fulkerth Road. A man died in a Sacramento hit-and-run accident after his bike was struck by a car. The bicycle v. car accident occurred on 29th Street at Florin Road on Saturday night. Based on the police report the bicyclist was hit by one car and struck by another oncoming car. The driver of the second vehicle stooped after the accident. Ramon Vargas of Sacramento was arrested and taken to the Sacramento County Jail on felony DUI charges after his vehicle collided with a taxi on Interstate 80 on Saturday morning .  Mr. Vargas’ Isuzu Rodeo was merging onto I-80 from northbound I-5 when he steered his Isuzu Rodeo directly into a Ford Crown Victoria taxicab being driven by Germaine Rizak, 31.
