A student of Beitzel Elementary School suffered major injuries on Thursday afternoon while he was run over by a FedEx truck as he was leaving the school.

The truck was in the front of Beitzel Elementary School at around 1:30 keeping the crosswalk blocked.  While the delivery truck  turned left onto westbound Chantal Way,  the 10-year-boy ran onto the crosswalk. He ran directly into the truck and additionally ended up being pulled to the ground, after that was run over by the vehicles back wheels.

One man died and eight other people were injured in a Napa crash on Monday morning.  A multi-vehicle car accident, involving four cars including a big ring, occurred on State Route 12, west of the Napa-Solano County line. Around 10:35 a.m. a man who was driving a 1997 Ford Escort westbound on the highway crossed over the double yellow lines into the eastbound lane, causing a collision between the Ford and a Mack big-rig. The truck, which was owned by Cal Fire, was hauling a bulldozer estimated to weigh between 30,000 and 40,000 pounds. The impact of the collision sent the big-rig out of control into the westbound shoulder guard rail and Toyota Prius. The Ford was pushed back into the westbound lane, which caused it to collide with the Toyota Sienna. The driver of Toyota van and his six passengers, as well ass the driver of Toyota Prius, were hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured. Four people were injured Sunday when a small plane performed a crash landing on a Highway 29 near the Napa County Airport and hit a car from behind.  The single engine Beech aircraft was forced to make an emergency “gear up” landing on Highway 29 at 12:37 p.m. after it lost power.  The plane skidded onto the highway and struck the car from behind. Three people, including a 3 year old child, died in a horrific Woodland accident that sent 5 cars up in flames following a chain reaction collision on southbound Interstate 5 near Woodland on Monday. Seven other people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. California Highway Patrol reports that small car and a commercial truck were involved in a fatal accident at around 6 a.m. this morning on Highway 99 near Elverta Road. A San Francisco accident killed one person and hurt four other people on Thursday Hayes Valley neighborhood. The accident involving UCSF shuttle bus and a big rig was caused by the shuttle running a red light.

The fatal accident occurred at Octavia and Oak streets at 6:20 a.m. when a 2007 Peterbilt tractor-trailer truck transporting four cars collided with the Ford shuttle bus taking UCSF employees to San Francisco General Hospital. One person died and two were seriously injured in a hit and run Richmond accident at around 5 a.m. on Sunday morning. The fiery crash occurred on the Carlson Avenue on ramp to east bound Interstate 80 with one car exploding on impact.  When Richmond firefighters arrived, witnesses were pulling victims from their vehicles.  Three of the  victims were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries but, unfortunately, a Fremont man was declared dead on arrival.  Witnesses reported that the driver of one of the cars jumped over the median and ran across westbound I-80.  Authorities are looking for the driver but the cause of this Richmond car accident remains under investigation.
