“A 41-year-old Yuba City woman was killed Monday in a head-on collision in south Sutter County.

The California Highway Patrol identified the victim as Tami Lynnette Young. The three-vehicle collision occurred at 6:25 p.m. on Highway 113 south of Knights Road.

According to a CHP report issued this morning, Young was traveling south when a northbound GMC Yukon driven by Demetrio Gonzalez of Woodland drifted across the centerline and sideswiped a Ford Focus driven by Frances L. Snavely of Robbins before hitting Young’s 2003 Volkswagen Bug head on.

Young’s car left the east side of the highway and came to rest between two mobile homes. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Snavely, 95, had moderate injuries and was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.”
